New Members of European Union
Bulgaria and Romania came to be new member of European Union until January 1, 2007.
Bulgaria and Romania had applied to European Union in 1995.In 2004 Accession Negotiations completed for two countries and The Agreement of Accession signed in 2005.
European Union Commission inured the last Monitoring Reports fort he countries in September 2006 then Romania and Bulgaria came to be new members of European Union.
Germany Took Over the European Union Presidency
Germany took over the European Presidency from Finland until January 1, 2007. European Union Presidency will continue for six months.
Germany will have collective work with Portugal and Slovenia. These countries will be the European Union Presidency after Germany.
